Both days last weekend at Joomladay DACH 2023 in Salzburg, Austria, were a great success. The annual German-language event for Joomla users and professionals, which took place on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September 2023, was sold out.

On Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September 2023, the annual German-speaking Joomla Days will be held in Salzburg, Austria. Joomla professionals from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will come together for several days to exchange knowledge on the latest web technologies and Joomla CMS.

On Saturday 26 August 2023, we will participate in the global Joomla Pizza, Bugs and Fun - a volunteer initiative to fix bugs in the open source software. Help test and patch bugs in the Joomla community!

Joomla 3 has not been supported by joomla.org with security patches since Thursday 17 August 2023. Sometimes some owners of bulky websites need more time to migrate to Joomla 4.

From today, 17 August 2023, Joomla 3 will no longer be supported by joomla.org with security patches. Should security issues be discovered in the Joomla 3 core, official patches will no longer be released via the Joomla updater.

Joomla 3 sites will continue to work!

Joomla 3 websites will continue to work as normal. But as with all software, it is important to keep it up to date. To keep security, speed and functionality up to date. It is recommended that you migrate from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 as soon as possible.

Joomla 3.0.0 was released on the 27th of September 2012. 11 years and 10 releases later, the very last version in the Joomla 3 series was released on 11 July: Joomla 3.10.12.

Development of Joomla 3 stopped after 11 years. As of 2020, Joomla 4 is the stable version that will continue to be supported and developed.

On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, Joomla 3.10.12 was released. This version updates the cacert.pem file used for SSL certificate verification, depending on the host settings where the website is located.

On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, Joomla 4.3.3 was released, a new bugfix release with some improvements. We have tested this version on our own sites and encountered no issues.

On Tuesday, May 30, Joomla 4.3.2 was released, a new subversion with some security updates and improvements. We tested this version on some of our own sites and found no issues.
