Joomla Unconference 2026 on Friday 25 September in Breda

On Friday 25 September 2026, the Joomla Unconference 2026 will take place in Breda. An informal day for the Dutch Joomla community, focusing on sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences and getting to know one another.

Normally, the Dutch Joomla Days are organised in the autumn. As the Joomla World Conference is taking place from Thursday 16 to Sunday 18 October, it has been decided not to organise the Joomla Days in October this year, but to postpone them until January 2027.

To ensure there is still a Dutch Joomla event in 2026, we are organising the Joomla Unconference in Breda on Friday 25 September.

What is a Joomla Unconference?

The Unconference is intended for anyone who uses Joomla: developers, website builders, administrators and other Joomla users.

Unlike a traditional conference, the programme is not fully fixed in advance. Participants decide on the day itself which topics will be covered. Do you have an interesting Joomla project, a technical problem you’d like to explore with others, a handy solution you’d like to share, or simply a topic you’d like to discuss with other Joomla users? Then that could become a session.

It’s not just about presentations. A session can also be a discussion, a workshop, a demonstration or a group discussion. The most important thing is that participants actively share their knowledge and experiences with one another.

Inspired by JoomlaCamp in Essen

The concept is inspired by JoomlaCamp, an annual Joomla unconference organised by the German Joomla community in Essen.

I attend JoomlaCamp myself every year and particularly enjoy its informal format. As the programme is put together by the participants themselves, this often leads to interesting technical sessions and discussions on topics currently relevant to the Joomla community I attended JoomlaCamp in Essen again this year. With the Joomla Unconference in Breda, we’re bringing a similar format to the Dutch Joomla community.

Ticket: €50 per person
Includes: lunch, dinner (chips with a snack) and a selection of drinks. Alcoholic drinks are at your own expense.
