Support for Joomla 3 ends!

From today, 17 August 2023, Joomla 3 will no longer be supported by joomla.org with security patches. Should security issues be discovered in the Joomla 3 core, official patches will no longer be released via the Joomla updater.

Joomla 3 sites will continue to work!

Joomla 3 websites will continue to work as normal. But as with all software, it is important to keep it up to date. To keep security, speed and functionality up to date. It is recommended that you migrate from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 as soon as possible.

Joomla 3.0.0 was released on the 27th of September 2012. 11 years and 10 releases later, the very last version in the Joomla 3 series was released on 11 July: Joomla 3.10.12.

Development of Joomla 3 stopped after 11 years. As of 2020, Joomla 4 is the stable version that will continue to be supported and developed.
