Joomla 3 Extended Long Term Security Support

Joomla 3 has not been supported by joomla.org with security patches since Thursday 17 August 2023. Sometimes some owners of bulky websites need more time to migrate to Joomla 4.

To accommodate those, Joomla has found an external party willing to provide 18 months of extra security support for a fee.

For 90 euros, a Joomla 3 website will be supported for 18 more months with security patches:

• Joomla 3.x websites will receive 18 months of security updates if security issues are discovered
• The update packages are made available to subscribers via an update server
