Tech event c't-live on Saturday 28 September
On Saturday 28 September, the second edition of the tech event c't-live, organised by c't magazine, will take place in Utrecht. Peter Martin will give a presentation ‘AI tools locally without cloud’ there.
c’t-live
During c't-live, various experts will bring you fully up to speed on a wide range of topics. Topics covered include smarthome protocols, online privacy, multi-speed internet, AI in hospitals, and much more. It will also cover topics such as setting up hotel Wi-Fi, virtualisation with Proxmox, Microsoft's Copilot, and other AI applications. In short, an event no IT enthusiast should miss.
c’t magazine
c't magazine has been the leading computer magazine in the Netherlands and Belgium for more than twenty-five years, known for its extensive testing. This magazine focuses on computer technology in the broadest sense of the word. Besides critical editorials on software developments, c't also contains columns by lawyers, hardware tests and pages full of information and tips on software. The magazine is ideal for readers who want to go beyond the basics: people who enjoy tinkering with their computers themselves, programming, discovering the functionalities of programmes, or working professionally with computer hardware and software in any form.
AI-tools locally without cloud
For a year and a half now, a wide range of AI solutions have been available in the cloud, including ChatGPT, Dall-E and Midjourney. Peter Martin, in his presentation titled ‘AI tools local without cloud’, shows how to install and use AI tools such as Ollama and Stable Diffusion locally. By running these tools locally, you ensure privacy and data protection. In addition, you can deploy local Large Language Models (LLM) free of charge and without censorship.
